ADSS Optical Cable Introduction
ADSS Optical Cable full name All-dielectric Self-supporting Optical Cable
All dielectric means that all dielectric materials are used for optical cables.
Self supporting type refers to the self reinforcing component of optical cable can bear the self weight and external load.
The use of all dielectric materials is due to the fact that the optical cable is in the high-voltage and strong current environment and must be able to withstand the impact of strong electricity; because it is used overhead on the power tower, it must have supporting hangers to fix the optical cable on the tower.
ADSS cable has three key technologies: mechanical design of cable, determination of suspension point and selection and installation of supporting hardware.

OPGW Optical Cable Introduction
The optical fiber is placed in the ground wire of the overhead high voltage transmission line to form the optical fiber communication network on the transmission line. This structure has both the function of ground wire and communication, which is generally called OPGW optical cable.
Due to the characteristics of anti electromagnetic interference and light self weight, optical fiber can be installed on the top of transmission line tower without considering the optimal hanging position and electromagnetic corrosion.
Therefore, it has higher reliability, superior mechanical properties and lower cost. This technology is particularly suitable and economical for new laying or replacement of existing ground wires.
